Cingarden Events is happy to announce Restorative Yoga Tuesdays at The Buttonwood Tree DownTown Middletown starting Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Join Lisa Dinoia every Tuesday for a 75-minute restorative yoga flow in the performing arts center starting at 6:30 PM.

Lisa's classes seamlessly blend yoga traditions with modern life, offering sessions that are playful, introspective, and purposeful, energizing the body and nurturing the soul. She encourages the use of props, laughter, and curiosity.

What is Restorarive Yoga?

Restorative yoga is designed to promote relaxation, rejuvenation, and deep healing. Prepare to practice a series of gentle, supported poses held for an extended period. These poses are carefully selected to encourage the body to release tension, promote flexibility, and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, triggering the body's relaxation response.

Participants will use props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks to fully support the body in each pose, allowing for maximum comfort and relaxation. The emphasis is on surrendering into each posture, finding stillness, and allowing the breath to deepen.

Incorporating mindfulness techniques, such as guided relaxation, breath awareness, and meditation, to further quiet the mind and promote a sense of inner calm. The instructor may also offer gentle adjustments to help students deepen their relaxation and release any remaining tension.

Overall, a restorative yoga class provides a nurturing environment for participants to slow down, tune into their bodies, and experience deep relaxation, leaving them feeling refreshed, restored, and balanced both physically and mentally.
